Why plans and limits exist
turbometrics controls features and upper limits centrally via plans. That keeps the product consistent everywhere: in the interface, in warning notices, when creating new targets and on the pricing page.
Typical plan-dependent features
Depending on the plan, the following differ, among others:
- the number of scheduled scans
- available regions or the number of locations
- PDF export
- warning notifications
- webhooks
- sitemap import
- the maximum number of importable sitemap URLs
- the scope of history and fair use
How limits show up in the product
Limits should not take effect unexpectedly or invisibly. That is why turbometrics shows directly at the affected places:
- when a feature is not included in the plan
- when a limit has been reached
- when an upgrade or a larger feature set would be needed
For example:
- scheduled scans cannot be created beyond the plan limit
- webhooks cannot be enabled if the plan does not include the feature
- PDF export is blocked cleanly when the permission is missing
Warning banner when the scan limit is exceeded
If you have created more scheduled scans than your plan allows, a yellow notice banner appears at the top of every page. It stays visible until you are back below the plan limit — it cannot be dismissed permanently, because it shows an active system state, not a one-off piece of information.
Public plans
The public pricing page shows the regular plans straight from the central plan configuration:
- Free
- Starter
- Pro
- Agency
That keeps the pricing page and the product logic in sync.
Fair use
Besides the visible feature limits, there are also fair use rules, for example on manual scans per hour. These limits are deliberately not meant as a punishment mechanism; they protect stability and fair use for everyone.
Plan changes and automatic adjustments
Upgrade
On an upgrade to a higher plan, all new limits take effect immediately. You receive a confirmation email with an overview of the new possibilities.
Downgrade
On a downgrade, turbometrics steps in automatically to make sure your configuration is compatible with the new plan:
Scan intervals: scan targets with an interval that the new plan does not allow are automatically adjusted to the next permitted interval (e.g. from hourly to daily). You receive a separate email with an overview of the affected targets.
History — 7-day grace period: after a downgrade, your existing scan data is kept in full for another 7 days. After that, turbometrics automatically cleans up all entries older than the new history period. An upgrade within that window prevents the cleanup.
With every downgrade you receive a confirmation email with the new limits and a note about the grace period.
Scheduled downgrade
If you schedule a plan change for a future date via your subscription, turbometrics informs you in advance by email: with the planned plan, the activation date and the limits that will apply from then on. Until that date, everything continues unchanged.
turbopress customers
turbopress customers get the Agency plan included with their hosting — without a separate subscription. This access is listed separately on the pricing page as an Agency plan included free of charge for turbopress customers.
Good practice
Choose your plan not just by a single feature, but by how you actually use turbometrics:
- only occasional individual tests
- regular project work
- ongoing monitoring
- several client projects with alerts, PDF and webhooks
